Dear Friend,

The School for Gods was never intended to conform to the familiar or the ordinary; rather, it was meant to challenge and uplift. Those who feel called to its principles will naturally embrace its language as part of their journey toward self-mastery.

Remember! “The School for Gods,” cannot be taught but only lived and experienced close to the Dreamer.”

Passing through the eye of a needle requires years of serious effort and the practicing presence of Him. Without the presence of a man free from the conditioning of the senses, from the prison of space and time, and from the false descriptions of himself, there can be no answers. This is also the answer to your trial to find a new terminology for the School for Gods, which is complete as it stands. Presenting the System to people who are not ready would mean lowering our own being. In such a condition, it would only lead to forgetfulness and division – a flat world governed by chaos and conflict. In order to enter this world, everything would have to adopt its state of confusion. But unity cannot be gifted to division; doing so would mean a ‘mixing of levels.’

One can only know (or comprehend) what one is. Before we can understand that knowledge and being are one and the same, we must first separate them and work on each independently. At this stage, we still need to work on two things: “Being and Knowledge.”

Ordinary knowledge cannot transform being, nor can special knowledge do so unless it is applied to oneself. Ordinary people would like to acquire knowledge for one million pounds yet are unwilling to make efforts for one penny. Man is his understanding, which arises from the union of being and knowledge. When understanding falls to a lower level, being and knowledge separate. When understanding falls further, good and truth cease to be one. This applies to both an individual and an entire civilization.

To know more, you must be more. To be reborn, you must die to the old. To be born again, you must die to the past. The past is dust. You cannot understand new ideas without renouncing your old ones.

‘Metanoia’ means the transformation of one’s mind – a new way of thinking, new ideas, new knowledge, and a new approach to life.

A Vertical Man – a Man of Integrity “sees” the roles and levels people occupy on the scale of being. He understands that these roles are parts of himself and that he encompasses all of them. A man of higher responsibility exists because he embraces and comprehends the roles of those below him on the scale. Whether visibly or invisibly, he has already lived their lives and their roles.

Through the School, a Vertical Man  “sees” that all men are illusorily separated by time. He understands that the others are himself scattered across time, himself becoming a multitude. The best understanding of the evangelical command “Love thy neighbor as thyself” lies in realizing that the others are yourself. A man who thinks vertically knows that he once was what ‘they’ are and that ‘they’ will be what he is ‘now’. Through this special mathematics, he intuits the existence of higher levels above him, even though they cannot be seen. Higher levels or dimensions are always invisible to the lower ones.

The School teaches: never cast your eyes downward, never identify with lower aims. Keep looking at the sky and only the sky, and you will see that the earth becomes heaven. S

Man, as he is now, is earth. He must become heaven.

L’occhio del padrone ingrassa il cavallo

The eye of the owner feeds the horse.

This saying is a remnant of a pearl of wisdom, translated into the horizontal world as a popular adage. It represents the translation of a vertical thought into the language of Flatland. “You are the owner of your world, and the chemistry of your attention feeds it with intelligence.”

My hand, when observed attentively, becomes more intelligent. The owner represents a higher level of responsibility. Whatever a responsible man focuses his attention on flourishes and prospers. This is why organizations must seek individuals with this capacity, nurture them, and develop it in others. The “management by wandering around” approach invented by organizational philosophers—where managers actively engage with all corners of the company—is a shallow interpretation of the true importance of the owner’s eye, which must always remain open and present.

Attention is a chemistry that raises our level of being. What we pay attention to, we become responsible for. A man can only possess what he is responsible for. This system of equations leads us back to the most fundamental principle:

TO BE = TO HAVE.

Being and Having are one and the same. You can only have what you are. Like creates like. Love (a-mors) creates love.

You cannot change the world around you unless you first change yourself. Ethics and economics, systems of values and wealth, beliefs and financial destiny are all one and the same. Ordinary people fail to see this because they live in passing time, a dimension where they see only opposites, not levels or scales.

At this level, Being and Having appear to be separated by time. Time acts as a veil, concealing the oneness of all things and the cause-effect relationship between being, doing, and having. For those at lower levels, time translates the laws of invisibility into forms they can perceive. Time is the paint that makes the invisible visible to Flatlanders, who ‘want to know’.

For one who thinks in terms of levels, life becomes vertical, compared to his horizontal, sensual neighbor. The latter perceives reality through his five senses, while the former creates and experiences it through his own being. The affairs of ordinary life and the Kingdom of Heaven differ in level and therefore… in quality.
